Ubertrout said:Iain,I understand. I'm suggesting that Pentatone might want to put that on their website, or possibly consider developing their own software based on the open-source software that's out there.Hi Ubertrout,Sorry to hear you are having some difficulties, but I thought the instructions and software recommendations Pentatone had on their site were crystal clear. The recommended tool for unzipping is free, or costs $30 if you prefer, and the ISO extraction tool is open source and merely asks for a donation.

You have a challenging lifestyle. Trying to get all this stuff done while traveling.well I couldn't do it, but I am concerned that someone could draw the wrong conclusions from the information you provided.
Iain said:Use either Nero Burning ROM or the free ImgBurn programmes to extract the DSD DFF/DSF files from the downloaded ISO image file:Files only need to be extracted once and you're done. Simple.I think your adding to the already abundant misinformation on the Internet. Neither program can extract files from SACD ISO's (they can burn them to a DVD-5 or DVD-9 blank disc but so can several other programs). There is no typical ISO 9660 or UDF File system in an SACD ISO. You need a custom piece of software to scan the data structure of an SACD ISO and break it apart/decompress into DSF or DSDIFF files, which both file formats of these are actually in the public domain and easily discoverable on the internet. That extraction software is also readily available in source and now with a Java GUI wrapper for non geeks. Kal has pointed out where to look as does the Pentatone site.

Next time you post, take some time to familiarise yourself with them. This is a good place to start:Must be something in the water in New Zealand, I reckon.

Install a good firewall, and the problem becomes obvious: The instant you double-click the ImgBurn 2.5.2 installer, your firewall should tell you that AskInstallChecker is trying to go to an IP address such as:74.113.233.61That resolves to iaccap.com which has a very poor reputation:mywot.com/en/scorecard/iaccap.comrobtex.com/dns/iaccap.com.htmlThis is before you even get to the installer’s welcome screen!!! Does not inform the user or ask permission, just makes a made dash to iaccap.com for God knows what purpose.
Real scumware tactic. The “issue” is that before you’ve even seen the ImgBurn installer’s welcome screen, AskInstallChecker is already futzing around on the Internet! This is not “ask then install” – it’s “install and run” then remove later, after iaccap.com has already done whatever to your computer!.
